Robotics Software Engineer Internship - Autonomy (Robotics)

hirify.global is a high-growth Series A startup and ETH Zurich spin-out developing autonomous construction robots that combine learning-based automation, augmented remote control, and rugged hardware.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development and deployment of autonomous construction robots.
• Develop AI-based control systems for heavy construction machinery.
• Work on environment perception and navigation planning.
• Develop machine controllers and robot behaviors.
• Help build solutions combining robotics hardware and software for excavators and wheel loaders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree at a Swiss university.
• Ability to work autonomously and in small teams.
• Strong motivation to solve challenging applied robotics problems.

Nice to have

• Master’s-level studies in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or design.
• Research experience through an academic lab, internship, or previous employment.
• Experience setting up and deploying software on autonomous systems.
• Experience with C++, Python, Linux, and Git.
• Interest or experience in heavy construction; experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).
