Salary: $115,200–$194,400 USD yearly for US residents

What you will do

• Build secure, tested, and performant TypeScript features across frontend and backend systems.
• Design the Duo Client SDK's Node.js core, public APIs, versioned packages, changelogs, and deprecation paths.
• Extract and publish packages from the GitLab Language Server while migrating consumers incrementally.
• Build isomorphic core packages with platform-specific adapters and improve SDK client surfaces, including Vue 3 components in Duo Chat.
• Strengthen credential handling with bearer tokens, session cookies, and CSRF protection.
• Optimize browser bundle size, startup cost, and dependencies while participating in a Tier 2 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript across frontend and backend systems, including Node.js services.
• Experience with monorepos, multi-module builds, ECMAScript modules, packaging, and dependency management.
• Experience with Vue 3 and the Composition API, or comparable component-based frontend experience.
• Experience designing APIs for other developers and understanding Node.js and browser runtime differences.
• Security-minded development practices, including credential handling and performance optimization.
• Clear written communication, self-motivation, organization, and the ability to work asynchronously in a fully remote environment.
