Signaling and Routing Specialist (Satellite Connectivity)

Location: Espoo, Finland. Hybrid role with onsite work three days per week.

hirify.global develops standards-based satellite connectivity that connects smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites through a cloud-native commercial NTN vRAN platform.

What you will do

• Design and configure signaling, DRA/DEA routing, Diameter peers, connections, realms, identities, global titles, and point-code mappings.
• Translate MNO IR.21/RAEX profiles into accurate, version-controlled production configurations.
• Coordinate IP addressing, DNS/ENUM, APN and realm resolution, firewall and ACL changes, and IPX peering.
• Own IREG testing for network registration, attach sequences, S6a/S6d authentication, SGd SMS, and NIDD where applicable.
• Analyze Wireshark signaling traces and isolate routing or configuration failures across hirify.global, IPX partners, and MNOs.
• Establish change-control, peer-review, rollback, documentation, and LLD practices while partnering with Network Engineering, NOC, Security, Product, and MNO teams through go-live.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in mobile-core signaling, roaming interconnect, telecom solutions engineering, or network operations.
• Deep Diameter experience, including DRA/DEA configuration, realm routing, peer management, and S6a/S6d/SGd protocols.
• Strong IP interconnect fundamentals, including DNS/ENUM, routing, security controls, firewall/ACL coordination, and IPX/GRX networks.
• Advanced protocol analysis skills and the ability to independently diagnose signaling failures using Wireshark traces.
• Experience translating IR.21/RAEX data into operational configurations and executing structured IREG validation.
• Disciplined approach to change management, documentation, configuration integrity, and live production risk.

Nice to have

• Experience with NB-IoT NTN, NIDD, MME registration troubleshooting, SS7/MAP, STP, or IoT roaming.
• Hands-on Signaling and IP configuration experience in core networks.
• Automation experience with Python, APIs, infrastructure as code, or network testing frameworks.
