Quality - Microbiology Lab Associate (3rd Shift)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, USA; onsite, Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Pay rate: $25.39 per hour plus a $1.20 shift differential

What you will do

• Perform microbial testing of finished goods, bulk materials, and raw materials using rapid methods aligned with USP <61> and USP <62>.
• Conduct sensory, pH, viscosity, penetration, and sterility-related testing, including media preparation.
• Document test information and results in real time, review data, and complete product release transactions in SAP.
• Support production lines, quality investigations, and documentation for OOS results, NCRs, and deviations.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment, including Neogen Soleris, autoclaves, pH meters, viscometers, penetrometers, TOC analyzers, and scales.
• Maintain laboratory operations by supporting cleaning, inventory, sampling, procedures, training, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• AA or AS degree in a related field, or two years of progressively responsible related experience in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, or other manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of microbiology processes, plating, testing methods, and applicable quality regulations.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; aptitude for learning additional programs and using warehouse management systems.
• Analytical reasoning, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand and walk for several hours, and work in a loud manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to work the Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM onsite schedule in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and Outlook.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics manufacturing.
