Field Service Engineer (Medical Device) (San Antonio, TX based Field role))

Location: US TX Remote; residency in or near San Antonio, TX within commuting distance to the airport is required. This is a field support role with onsite customer work and travel of up to 75%.

Salary: $37.35–$63.45 per hour. Additional incentives and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems across the assigned territory.
• Respond to service requests, troubleshoot issues, and own product- and service-related customer concerns.
• Provide onsite technical guidance and training on equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate system placements, upgrades, contract renewals, and communication between customers and internal support teams.
• Manage service parts inventory and complete service documentation in SFDC on the same day as service.
• Support quality data collection and update service and training manuals and SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with knowledge of the biotechnology or biomedical industry; applicable military experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of relevant technical field service experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Strong problem-solving ability and motivation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good technical writing abilities.
