Senior Director, Program Management (Biotech)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; this is an onsite role with no possibility of remote work.

Salary: $233,000–$285,000 USD per year in base pay.

Develops therapeutics targeting muscle and the central nervous system for genetically driven neuromuscular diseases, including DMD, DM1, FSHD, and Pompe disease.

What you will do

• Lead operations for one or more high-performing cross-functional development teams.
• Partner with the Program Team Leader to define priorities, resources, and execution paths.
• Drive program strategy and execution for clinical and commercial development of life-changing medicines.
• Create and maintain Target Product Profile, Clinical Development Plan, Regulatory Strategy, Supply Strategy, and detailed cross-functional plans.
• Align non-clinical, clinical, regulatory, and commercialization strategies with the overall program strategy.
• Facilitate timely decisions, communicate program status and risks, and support the evolution of the program management discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with increasing responsibility in drug development.
• Experience with late-stage clinical development and commercial-stage programs is required.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Smartsheet, and project management collaboration tools.
• Experience leading cross-functional matrix teams and making complex, high-stakes, data-driven decisions.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline or an MBA.
• Experience with neuromuscular diseases.
• Knowledge of muscle disease research and oligonucleotide drug discovery and development.
