Intern, Business Analyst

Salary: $25.00 per hour, plus a short-term cash incentive program.

What you will do

• Support project planning, tracking, documentation, meeting minutes, action items, issue logs, decision logs, and status updates.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating business needs into functional specifications and process documentation.
• Perform data analysis, reporting, financial analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to support project decisions.
• Assist with risk tracking, issue documentation, and identifying opportunities for process improvement through technology or operational changes.
• Support user acceptance testing plans, test scripts, defect tracking, implementation activities, and follow-up with internal teams and external vendors.
• Participate in meetings with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project members.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams, manage multiple tasks, and learn new tools quickly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Interest in business analysis, technology, financial services, asset management, or project management.
• Professional, proactive approach and comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools.
• Coursework or project experience in systems analysis, database management, business process modeling, project management, data analytics, or financial analysis.
• Experience with Excel functions, data visualization, reporting, basic SQL, business analysis, technology support, data analysis, or project coordination.
• Interest in financial technology, financial services, asset management, or mergers and acquisitions.
