Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Operate and evolve Kubernetes platforms at scale, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, bare-metal provisioning, networking, storage, autoscaling, and disaster recovery.
• Operate and scale the on-premises observability stack covering metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, telemetry collection, and alerting.
• Build and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD-based Kubernetes deployments, artifact management, reusable CI components, and secrets integrations.
• Develop infrastructure automation, configuration management, and self-service tooling using infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Onboard trading desks and development teams, create runbooks and documentation, and help establish a sustainable platform support model.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Deep production experience operating Kubernetes, including cluster lifecycle management, troubleshooting, networking, storage, and RBAC.
• Production experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting, plus understanding of OpenTelemetry collectors, exporters, and instrumentation.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, CI/CD pipelines, and artifact management platforms.
• Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible, strong Linux systems knowledge, and proficiency in Go or Python for automation.
• Ability to communicate directly with trading desks and development teams and explain Kubernetes concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience in a trading firm or with P&L-impacting workloads.
• Experience with Kubeflow, Airflow, ML pipeline orchestration, Kafka, or event streaming platforms.
• Experience with advanced Kubernetes networking, on-premises infrastructure, bare-metal servers, IPAM, or storage systems.
• Interest in AI-assisted operational tooling and thoughtful use of AI coding assistants.
