Senior Financial Operations Analyst

Location: McLean/Tysons, Virginia, United States; on-site

Base salary: $75,000–$150,000 USD per year; discretionary bonus may be awarded.

What you will do

• Support Directors, Project Managers, and VPs with project and organizational budgeting, forecasting, and Estimate-at-Completion processes.
• Track and analyze program spend against funding and contract values, including financial reporting, revenue and profit forecasting, utilization analysis, and business management tasks.
• Develop Customer Success performance reporting, analytical tools, pipeline forecasts, and recommendations to improve sales effectiveness and revenue predictability.
• Manage financial and operational processes across Customer Success and other departments.
• Lead program financial activities including project labor costing, SOW analysis, bill rate analysis, and fixed-price percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Lead or support medium- to high-complexity projects, including requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, scheduling, reporting, and implementation of budgeting, forecasting, and timesheet-compliance best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, project control, finance operations, or corporate finance within a professional services or consulting organization.
• Demonstrated leadership through proactive communication and support for stakeholders across organizational levels and functional areas.
• Exceptional communication skills, including conflict resolution and balancing competing business demands.
• Strong analytical skills and proven experience developing financial reporting and analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets, with knowledge of Tableau and CRM systems, including Salesforce.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direction.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology company, particularly a SaaS business.
• Working knowledge of SaaS metrics such as NRR, GRR, and renewal rates.
