Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States. Full-time onsite position with minimal travel, reliable transportation required, and occasional extended hours, weekends, or overnight stays.

What you will do

• Process the full invoice cycle, including invoice creation, approval tracking, check printing, payment processing, and check-batch balancing.
• Match checks for accuracy and route checks and unapproved invoices to the appropriate people.
• Respond to internal and external questions about invoices and payments.
• Manage office supply inventory and ordering, and review bids and pre-qualifications as needed.
• Administer the Comdata program, including vendor enrollment and weekly transmissions.
• Support project accountants by ensuring subcontractor compliance and processing assigned reports.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least two years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening is required.
