Automotive Operations Manager/Shop Foreman

Location: 16618 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, North Carolina, United States. Onsite, full-time position with weekends off.

Salary: Up to $80,000 annually plus bonus.

What you will do

• Distribute work to technicians and manage individual workloads and overall service-area workflow.
• Oversee vehicle quality, technician progress, shop efficiency, ticket audits, equipment, supplies, fluids, and scan tool subscriptions.
• Train and mentor technicians, sign off on skills, and coach employees toward ASE and internal certifications.
• Conduct quarterly performance discussions and monitor career goals and employee performance.
• Enforce safety, cleanliness, organization, company policies, and brand quality standards.
• Work with the service department to communicate customer concerns and assist with complaint resolution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
• 7+ years of supervisory or management experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience in an independent, non-corporate shop environment is required.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software and automotive store applications; current driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Strong communication, professional appearance, multitasking ability, and willingness to work at a brisk pace in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday, occasionally lift over 50 lbs., and drive manual-transmission vehicles.

Nice to have

• Experience with TekMetric.
• Graduation from an industry-recognized service training program.
• ASE Service Consultant certification or equivalent experience.
