What you will do

• Evaluate advanced scientific principles, concepts, state-of-the-art technologies, theories, and emerging trends.
• Plan, design, develop, and execute laboratory research and scientific studies.
• Conduct feasibility studies assessing potential technologies, methods, and innovations.
• Apply scientific research to potential inventions and products ahead of formal product roadmaps.
• Lead interdepartmental research efforts and collaborative initiatives.
• Provide specialized technical consultation and contribute to intellectual property development.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience; a Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years, and a PhD may substitute for 4 years.
• Additional experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree, requiring 16 years of total experience.
• Expertise in designing and executing complex scientific research and studies.
• Experience leading research initiatives and providing technical leadership across specialized scientific disciplines.
