What you will do

• Technically lead complex engineering projects and research and development of new semiconductor technologies.
• Define experiments, required data, system specifications, schedules, and technical decisions.
• Lead system and module design reviews, qualification activities, troubleshooting, and physics-related application issues in laboratory and field settings.
• Drive product risk management, competitor technology analysis, feasibility studies, and demonstrations of new system capabilities.
• Lead strategic vendor relationships and customer engagements with executives, universities, consortia, and external innovation partners.
• Mentor less experienced physicists and scientists and communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge in a physics or science discipline, with broad knowledge of related functional areas.
• Experience solving unique and complex technical problems through conceptual and innovative thinking.
• Ability to lead projects with significant risk and complexity and develop execution strategies.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, approve system and subsystem requirements, and gain acceptance for technical decisions.
• Must work from the San Jose, California location; relocation eligibility is not available.
