Director of Integrated Electrical Systems (Aerospace)

Salary: $227,600–$274,500 per year

What you will do

• Establish and lead electrical engineering, controls engineering, power-systems engineering, electrical manufacturing, and electrical integration.
• Own medium- and low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, industrial control systems, PLC and HMI automation, instrumentation, cable and wire-harness design, and equipment integration.
• Lead acceptance testing, factory commissioning, production release support, and lifecycle support for integrated electrical systems.
• Manage cable, rack, integration, and hook-up assembly, including electrical floor execution.
• Establish engineering standards, manufacturing processes, inspection procedures, quality systems, traceability, and technical documentation.
• Lead the path to UL 508A Industrial Control Panel Shop certification and implement IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Systems, or a closely related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of managerial experience leading electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, and systems-integration work through design, production, and commissioning.
• Extensive industrial electrical experience covering power distribution, automation, controls, construction, equipment integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and manufacturing.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage distribution, switchgear, PLC and HMI systems, instrumentation, cable or wire-harness design, and acceptance testing.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
• Ability to lead floor execution for assembly, integration, testing, and factory commissioning. Must satisfy U.S. person eligibility requirements under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with UL 508A certification and IPC/WHMA-A-620 implementation.
• Experience with IEC 62271-202, IEEE C37 switchgear standards, utility-grade prefabricated E-Houses, or related electrical infrastructure.
• Eligibility and readiness to pursue a California C-10 Electrical Contractor license if required.
