Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic

What you will do

• Perform general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
• Conduct state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot vehicle concerns with the service team and communicate damage or malfunctions clearly.
• Complete accurate courtesy vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance reports.
• Follow federal, state, and local requirements, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know regulations.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Current driver's license.
• Entry-level position; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds occasionally and work in tight spaces or under raised vehicles.
• Manual dexterity for using hand tools, ability to stand and walk most of the workday, and ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment and navigate a computer efficiently.
