Nurse Practitioner

Location: Onsite at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The role requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with one 8-hour weekend shift every fourth weekend. Nights and weekends may be required.

What you will do

• Provide preventive, episodic, and ongoing care to adolescent, adult, and older adult patients.
• Conduct histories and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and synthesize clinical data.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust patient care plans for general medical and surgical conditions.
• Prescribe and manage pharmacological and other treatments within the scope of practice.
• Perform relevant clinical procedures, counsel patients and families, and maintain timely electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, coordinate referrals, and advocate for patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Massachusetts registered nurse license with authorization to practice in the expanded role in Massachusetts.
• At least two years of registered nurse experience in an acute and/or ambulatory care setting.
• State and federal DEA certificates as required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including an occasional weekend shift, and meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to provide care across adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations.

Nice to have

• Experience in emergency or urgent care and associated procedures.
• Experience with phlebotomy and intravenous insertion.
• Previous Nurse Practitioner experience.
