Managing Consultant - C&M - Google Cloud (Technical Lead)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office or client-site attendance at least 2 days per week and up to 5 days per week on client site depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Design and deliver GCP-enabled solutions and services for clients across industry sectors.
• Set technical direction and take responsibility for successful outcomes and deliverables.
• Lead development teams or provide centralized cloud expertise across multiple teams and programs.
• Lead architectural discussions and establish robust DevSecOps processes, principles, methods, and patterns.
• Act as a key point of engagement between clients and projects, including technical account management.
• Coach and mentor team members while sharing specialist technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Deep experience with Google Cloud services in one or more areas, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, VPC, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Firestore, Apigee, Cloud Endpoints, Dataproc, Dataflow, Data Fusion, Cloud Composer, IAM, PAM, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Centre.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, including microservices, event-driven architectures, message queues, and relational and non-relational databases.
• Development or scripting experience with technologies such as Python, Node, or Bash.
• Understanding of security best practices for access control, data protection, and communications.
• Experience communicating with clients and peers in written, meeting, and workshop settings, along with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional cloud platforms.
• DevOps automation experience with Cloud Build and Terraform.

Hiring process

• Introductory call with a senior Talent Acquisition Partner.
• Three competency-based interviews in the first round.
• Final business plan presentation to PA leaders, with preparation and guidance.
