Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Industrial Automation)

Location: Forest Park, Georgia, USA (West Facility); onsite, 12-hour overnight shift from 7pm to 7am

Salary: $38.80–$39.64 per hour, plus an overnight shift differential

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair automated packaging equipment and plant utilities.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission, electrical, controls, and motor-control failures.
• Work with VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, ControlLogix or CompactLogix systems, and ladder logic.
• Execute preventive maintenance, work orders, spare-parts management, equipment inspections, and workstation upkeep.
• Perform machining, fabrication, welding, pipe fitting, rigging, shaft alignment, lubrication, and pump maintenance.
• Read and update technical manuals, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment documentation while communicating with stakeholders during breakdowns.

Requirements

• At least five years of industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent technical college and vocational training.
• Proficiency in repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission, and control systems.
• Required experience with RSLogix Studio 5000, including PLC-to-computer connections using RSLinx, tag and I/O creation, and ladder-routine programming.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, wire three-phase motors, terminate wiring, use a multimeter, and work with motor starters, relays, disconnects, motors, and photo eyes.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, welding and rigging equipment, man-lifts, mills, lathes, band saws, presses, and pipe-threading equipment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; SAP and servo-motion-control experience are preferred but not required.
