What you will do

• Design, build and conduct experiments investigating complex physical phenomena.
• Develop and test prototypes, instrumentation and experimental systems.
• Acquire, process and analyse experimental data.
• Characterise devices, materials and systems, including sensor performance.
• Conduct laboratory, workshop, field-based, environmental and operational testing.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and client deliverables while collaborating with physicists, engineers and computational specialists.

Requirements

• Degree, MSc or PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Physics or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Experience in several areas including experimental physics, RF or electromagnetic systems, surface physics, materials characterisation, fluidics, instrumentation, measurement, sensor development, laboratory experimentation or prototype development.
• Experience with data acquisition, experimental analysis, scientific programming or data analysis.
• Hands-on, analytical and practical approach to solving technical problems, with the ability to design and conduct experiments independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary technical domains.

Nice to have

• Experience using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW or similar tools.
• PhD or research and development experience in RF, materials, fluidics or related experimental fields.
