Sr. Analyst, Global Development (Renewable Energy)

Location: Toronto, ON or Gatineau, QC, Canada; onsite at hirify.global Place in Toronto or the designated Gatineau location

Salary: CAD 100,000–125,000 per year

What you will do

• Support development-focused due diligence for acquisitions and investments in renewable power and energy transition projects.
• Assess pipeline quality, project maturity, schedules, development costs, risks, organizational capabilities, and development plans.
• Coordinate diligence workstreams, synthesize findings, and communicate risks, mitigations, and value-creation opportunities.
• Develop portfolio-level pipeline reporting, insights, governance, validation processes, and reporting automation.
• Build benchmarks and assumptions for project timelines, development expenditure, capital expenditure, and project readiness across markets and technologies.
• Lead or support strategic development initiatives, problem-solving, stakeholder alignment, and implementation across the portfolio.

Requirements

• University degree in business, finance, environmental studies, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• At least three years of relevant experience, including at least one year in the energy industry, preferably in project development.
• Ability to develop and implement processes and reports and to understand risks and mitigations for delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience originating, developing, negotiating, or structuring renewable energy projects.
• Solid understanding of financial models used in underwriting.
