Director of Security and Compliance (Cybersecurity)

Location: Concord, California, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $200,000–$225,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Set the strategy for enterprise technology risk management across cybersecurity, compliance, and privacy.
• Direct security architecture and operations across IT and OT environments, including infrastructure, applications, and data systems.
• Lead regulatory compliance assessments, reporting, privacy program implementation, and organization-wide security awareness.
• Develop business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response capabilities, coordinating cross-functional crisis response teams.
• Manage department budgets, security vendors, third parties, and service-provider negotiations.
• Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing security organization with succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in IT operations, cybersecurity, or a relevant business or industry environment.
• 7+ years of leadership experience involving strategy, budgeting, and staffing.
• 3+ years leading an auditable compliance program such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 2700x, SOC 2, or NERC-CIP.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, negotiation, collaboration, analytical, and business skills.
• Experience with security services, NIST 800-CSF, NIST 800-53, cloud and network architecture, identity and access management, privacy, business continuity, artificial intelligence, Microsoft, and AWS.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or a similar certification.
• Experience with Google or Cisco vendors.
