Staff Board Design Engineer (PCB CAD)

Location: Taipei City, Taiwan; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Develop server motherboards and add-in cards from system definition through schematics, PCB layout/CAD, and hardware verification in the lab.
• Translate system and architectural specifications into detailed design specifications and human-readable schematics.
• Collaborate with power, signal integrity, PCB layout, system architecture, BIOS, and firmware teams.
• Drive new product development from concept through planning, development, prototyping, and proof of concept.
• Participate in power-on planning, board-level testing, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Work with customers and core technology suppliers to solve technical problems and lead system-level feasibility studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of direct industry experience, or at least 3 years with a master’s degree.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit theory and principles.
• Experience with high-speed signal design, power distribution, and Intel, AMD, ARM, or GPU platform architectures.
• Experience with high-speed serial buses and fabrics, high-speed memory buses including DDR4, DDR5, and HBM2, and cache-coherent links including CCIX, Gen-Z, and CXL.
• Strong knowledge of Baseboard Management Controller functionality, design specifications, and hardware test planning.
