What you will do

• Inspect vehicles to ascertain automotive body damage.
• Develop repair estimates by costing parts, supplies, and labor, including customer deductibles.
• Contact insurance companies, review estimates with adjusters, and resolve repair and replacement requirements.
• Prepare work orders describing required repair and replacement services and enter them into the work management system.
• Explain estimates and expected vehicle return timelines, answer customer questions, arrange temporary transportation, and maintain customer rapport.
• Maintain body shop records and update job knowledge through training and manufacturer publications.

Requirements

• Experience or interest in body shop, collision repair, automotive service, estimating, insurance, or related work.
• Ability to inspect and analyze automotive body damage and prepare accurate repair estimates.
• Customer service, communication, attention to detail, requirements analysis, and safety management skills.
• Ability to prepare work orders, maintain repair records, and work with insurance adjusters.
