Automotive Shop Foreman / Lead Technician

What you will do

• Distribute work, manage technician workloads, and oversee service-area workflow and schedules.
• Conduct or oversee vehicle diagnostics and support technicians with difficult repairs and misdiagnoses.
• Train, mentor, and coach technicians, including preparation for ASE and internal Christian Brothers certifications.
• Monitor technician performance, workflow efficiency, hours reports, ticket audits, and shop-hour generation.
• Maintain shop supplies, equipment, scan tool subscriptions, and bulk fluid levels.
• Enforce safety, cleanliness, organization, brand, and quality standards while supporting customer complaint resolution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an automotive lead technician.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across all vehicle makes and models.
• ASE certifications are highly preferred.
• Ability to flag 30+ hours per week and meet workflow and hourly goals.
• Strong communication, a positive attitude, customer focus, and a desire for long-term career development.
• Ability to lift or move over 50 pounds occasionally, work in tight and overhead spaces, stand for most of the day, drive manual-transmission vehicles, and use hand tools and computers efficiently.
