Assistant Project Manager - Tenant Improvement

Location: Houston, TX; onsite work with frequent site visits

What you will do

• Support the planning, coordination, budgeting, bidding, cost control, client relations, and closeout of construction projects.
• Own the RFI, submittal, project documentation, and closeout package processes.
• Participate in project meetings, lead and document OAC meetings, and coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, designers, and clients.
• Distribute drawings, shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and punchlists to maintain project schedules.
• Conduct frequent site visits to monitor onsite progress and support construction coordination.
• Promote Clune’s safety culture and OSHA standards, including participation in safety meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2–5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, independent decision-making, and the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, computer, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively in team environments and coordinate with internal and external project participants.

Nice to have

• Background in construction trades and technical knowledge of construction methods.
• Completion of basic budget training.
