Operational Risk - Principal (Finance)

What you will do

• Lead the operational risk management program for the London office and support EMEA and global initiatives.
• Oversee the Risk and Control Inventory, incident and issue management, risk assessments, and key risk indicators.
• Review risk procedures and standards against firm objectives, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
• Coordinate risk forums, governance activities, policy and procedure reviews, and risk-related client due diligence.
• Support the Head of Operational Risk in executing the target operating model, including risk reporting, governance, and work prioritization.
• Develop risk analytics with business partners and COO teams, and enhance the operational risk training program.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in financial services, risk management, internal controls, or organizational transformation.
• Experience in asset management, credit, private equity, enterprise risk, or other risk functions.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and advise senior business leaders.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and GRC tools such as Archer.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Experience implementing ICARA processes for an asset management firm.
• Experience using AI and technology to analyze large datasets and generate insights.
• Strong background in automation and process improvement.
