Senior Compensation Consultant

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work

Base salary: $110,000–$158,500 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead complex compensation programs, processes, and functional capabilities, including market data, governance, annual planning, and partnering standards.
• Use compensation analytics and external market data to assess competitiveness, internal equity, and program effectiveness.
• Interpret data and trends to create insights, scenarios, and recommendations for compensation decisions and planning.
• Advise HR partners, Finance, and business stakeholders on compensation guidelines and market-data application.
• Maintain controls, documentation, and governance supporting consistency, auditability, and risk management.
• Lead mid-to-large compensation projects and improve compensation processes, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in compensation, financial analysis, or a closely related analytical discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using market data and analytics to inform recommendations.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including building and maintaining complex models and analyses.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of compensation regulations, job evaluation, and external benchmarking practices.
• Experience with compensation and HRIS tools such as Workday and MarketPay.
• Experience providing consultative center-of-expertise support and influencing without direct authority.
