Manager, Compensation

Location: New York, United States; other locations include Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Boston.

Target salary range: $135,000.00–$175,000.00 annually, varying by location and relevant experience.

What you will do

• Lead annual salary and incentive compensation cycles for global legal and business support populations.
• Develop cost analyses, budget models, manager communications, project plans, and compensation review timelines.
• Manage compensation surveys, vendor relationships, MarketPay benchmarking, job evaluations, salary structures, geographic differentials, and market movement analysis.
• Manage Workday and MarketPay data, audits, workflows, system enhancements, and automation of year-end planning processes.
• Advise HR Business Partners, managers, and firm leaders while partnering with HRIS, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and HR Operations.
• Create compensation training materials, documentation, operating procedures, and support Total Rewards and HR initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday; MarketPay experience is desirable.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, modeling, and clear analytical outputs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience developing and managing spreadsheets and implementing or managing software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to protect confidential and sensitive information.
