TL;DR
Expert Developer – Data Analytics & Data Engineering (Azure): Designing and evolving Azure-based Lakehouse platforms for data management, analytics, and enterprise data warehousing with an accent on Databricks, Delta Lake, data architecture, and security. Focus on migrating traditional data warehouses, developing Spark and Delta Lake pipelines, and coaching engineering teams toward independent solution design.
Location: Budapest, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do
- Design IT platforms, processes, and organizational structures for an evolving Azure Lakehouse.
- Develop sustainable data architectures, prototype solutions, and evaluate new technologies.
- Work with Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Event Hub, and related Azure services.
- Support platform architecture development and coach engineering teams in independent solution design.
- Ensure data protection and security for business-critical and personal data.
- Establish platform principles, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering architecture.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure.
- Experience migrating traditional data warehouses to modern Lakehouse and Delta Lake platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data platform, data warehousing, data lake storage, relational, and multidimensional database architectures.
- Programming experience with SQL, Python, and Spark, including Spark Structured Streaming and Delta Lake pipelines.
Nice to have
- Experience with reporting, analytics, dashboarding, and Power BI.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Platform tools including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as DP-900, DP-100, DP-203, DP-300, AI-900, AZ-900, or DP-420.
