Technical Formulation Expert (Nutraceuticals)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot customer formulation and analytical testing challenges, including stability, bioavailability, and compatibility issues.
• Translate scientific information for customers and commercial teams through technical guides, reports, presentations, and regulatory summaries.
• Develop and optimize dietary supplement formulations across capsules, tablets, gummies, liquids, and other galenic forms.
• Conduct feasibility studies, stability testing protocols, trials, and analytical evaluations.
• Support scale-up and market-ready supplement applications while coordinating testing and manufacturing process optimization.
• Collaborate with regional and global R&D teams to align activities and develop customer-facing technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Advanced degree preferred in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biotechnology, Food Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical industry.
• At least 5 years of B2B customer-facing experience.
• Proven experience developing formulations in multiple formats and hands-on experience with scale-up, GMP standards, and analytical testing.
• Expertise in excipient functionality, active ingredients, stability, bioavailability, delivery mechanisms, water activity, moisture sorption, and humidity effects.
• Knowledge of HPLC, dissolution testing, microbial analysis, ICH stability protocols, FDA and EFSA regulations, labeling compliance, and supplement manufacturing processes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with formulation software or statistical analysis tools such as JMP and Design of Experiments.
