Senior Internal Auditor

Location: Based in Sydney (Mascot) or Melbourne (CBD), Australia

What you will do

• Lead audit engagements from planning and fieldwork through stakeholder management and final reporting.
• Identify key risks, evaluate controls, and develop practical recommendations to improve business processes.
• Build relationships with business leaders while maintaining independence and professional objectivity.
• Deliver high-quality audit reports and actionable business insights.
• Analyse complex information to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support Internal Audit transformation through data analytics, technology, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, or Risk Advisory.
• Experience in a large corporate organisation or professional services environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities; professional qualifications such as CA, CIA, CISA, or CISSP are highly regarded.
