Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Budapest, Szeged, Pécs, or Debrecen, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations. The role includes working in shifts for approximately one-third of working hours.

Provides IT and telecommunications services to large corporate customers in Germany and other European countries as part of a major telecommunications group.

What you will do

• Detect, analyze, and manage security incidents.
• Monitor customer environments and evaluate security reports.
• Track vulnerabilities, zero-day exploits, and malware, and create or adapt detection rules.
• Perform change and incident management.
• Analyze malicious code in a sandbox.

Requirements

• Knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP network models.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Business-level English and fluent Hungarian are required.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with logs from proxy, antivirus, WAF, IDS, web server, and DNS security systems.
• Experience with PCAP analysis and willingness to work shifts for about one-third of working hours.
