TL;DR
Security Monitoring Specialist (Cybersecurity) (Windows/Linux, SOC): Providing security monitoring for customer environments, investigating incidents, analyzing threats, and developing monitoring services with an accent on incident response, network security, and malicious code identification. Focus on mapping computer attacks, optimizing monitoring systems, analyzing malware, and preparing security recommendations and reports.
Location: Prague, Brno, Košice, or Bratislava; hybrid work
Basic wage component: from €2,000 gross per month for Košice and Bratislava; compensation for other locations is clarified during recruitment. Performance bonus is paid twice per year, up to 10% of the basic salary for the evaluation period.

What you will do
- Provide security monitoring services for assigned customers and environments.
- Optimize monitoring systems and evaluate data related to potential security threats.
- Investigate security incidents, identify connections, and map computer attacks.
- Prepare internal and external reports and communicate with customers about incidents.
- Contribute to the development of monitoring and security breach identification technologies and services under senior supervision.
- Work with malicious code identification systems and participate in deep malware analysis.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and system tools.
- Basic understanding of Windows/Linux internals, including processes, registries, filesystems, services, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of computer networks, including IP addresses, ports, protocols, and MAC addresses.
- Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Batch/CMD, VBScript, or JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of computer security.
- Upper-intermediate English (B2) required.
Nice to have
- Education in IT security.
- IT security or technology certifications, especially in Windows, Unix, or network security.
- SOC experience and experience evaluating security monitoring outputs.
- Forensic analysis or incident response experience.
