IT Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Gilching, Germany (Hybrid)

hirify.global specializes in the development, design, and production of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) and eVTOL technology for defense and security sectors.

What you will do

• Harden and secure Windows 11 endpoints, including Ground Control Stations, using GPOs and security policies.
• Administer and roll out BSI-approved full-disk encryption solutions.
• Implement and maintain compliance with VS-NfD information handling requirements.
• Manage Symantec Endpoint Security policies, updates, and incident response.
• Harden Linux distributions according to CIS Benchmarks and manage vulnerability/patching processes.
• Document security measures and contribute to the development of security concepts.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Gilching, Germany.
• Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to undergo a security clearance procedure (SÜG).
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows 11 hardening, GPOs, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Linux hardening (Debian/Ubuntu/RHEL/SUSE) and security tools like SELinux/AppArmor.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs) and network traffic analysis (Wireshark).
• Experience in regulated environments (BSI, ISO 27001) and vulnerability management.
