TL;DR
Security Engineer/Analyst (Cybersecurity): Protecting global computer networks, ICT applications, and infrastructure through security engineering, monitoring, incident investigation, and vulnerability management with an accent on SIEM, EDR/XDR, network security, and security tooling. Focus on deploying security solutions, investigating threats, addressing vulnerabilities, and supporting security projects across a global enterprise.
Location: Hybrid role based in Brussels, Ham, Pelt, or Ypres, Belgium. Occasional travel of up to a few days per month, mainly within Europe.

What you will do
- Monitor global ICT systems, investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation.
- Deploy, configure, and operate security tools in line with the corporate security roadmap.
- Identify, assess, and address vulnerabilities and security risks.
- Collaborate with the Security Architect, ICT teams, and external vendors on security capabilities, upgrades, and incident response.
- Maintain security documentation and contribute to operational and continuity plans.
- Lead or support security projects, tool integrations, process improvements, and continuous threat-response improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in network or system administration with exposure to information security.
- Technical knowledge of firewalls, proxies, email security, antivirus, Active Directory, Azure/M365, Windows/Linux, and virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, SASE, security analytics, PowerShell or Python, OT network security, and risk assessment.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch-English or French-English, both written and spoken.
- Analytical, investigative, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a multicultural global environment.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of NIS2, ISO 27001, and NIST security frameworks.
- Experience with Darktrace, TrendMicro, Fortinet, or other Tessenderlo Group security platforms.
