What you will do
- Review, prepare, and submit VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain indirect tax compliance schedules and ensure statutory filing deadlines are met.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and monitor tax liability payments.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support tax authority enquiries and audits.
- Improve VAT processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Guide junior team members and support the Tax Compliance Manager with VAT-related queries and projects.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in VAT or indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong numerical, analytical, communication, and data-accuracy skills.
- Working knowledge of indirect tax principles, VAT rules, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
- Ability to prioritise workload and consistently meet strict reporting and filing deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- Collaborative experience with finance and operational stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP or finance systems such as SAP, Sage X3, or Sage 200.
- Experience improving processes, strengthening controls, and optimising reporting workflows.
- Experience managing VAT compliance for complex group structures, intercompany transactions, and cross-border flows.
