Senior Tax Analyst (VAT)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work model

What you will do

• Prepare VAT returns for assigned EMEA countries accurately and on time.
• Perform peer reviews of VAT returns and support knowledge sharing within the VAT team.
• Provide VAT advice to local Finance teams and support compliance processes and tax audits.
• Collaborate with Direct Tax, Customs, Finance, IT, external advisors, and other tax colleagues on cross-functional VAT matters.
• Support VAT-related SAP setup, internal projects, tax risk reviews, and process improvements.
• Contribute to VAT processes and controls across EMEA and, when needed, LATAM or APAC.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional VAT experience in a business or advisory environment.
• In-depth knowledge of the VAT system of at least one EU Member State, preferably an Iberian country.
• Good understanding of EU VAT Directives.
• University degree in Finance, Accountancy, Tax, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency with MS Excel and experience with an ERP system.
• Fluent English required; work is based in Warsaw on a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience in an international or shared services environment.
• Exposure to VAT topics across multiple countries or regions.
