Manager Tax - Indirect (International Indirect Tax): Managing global indirect tax planning, advisory, compliance, reporting, and audits for Etihad Airways and its group companies with an accent on UAE VAT, international tax regulations, and operational tax governance. Focus on advising contracts and overseas operations, leading tax authority interactions, and supporting tax transformation involving ERP, e-invoicing, and new taxes.

What you will do
- Monitor global tax developments and support compliance across and its group companies.
- Advise on indirect tax implications for contracts, operations, overseas branches, and commercial activities.
- Manage UAE VAT and other tax compliance activities, including calculations, filings, payments, and documentation.
- Lead global tax audits, reviews, disputes, exemptions, and risk matters.
- Maintain tax policies, internal controls, governance records, and reporting processes.
- Support tax transformation projects involving new taxes, ERP systems, e-invoicing, and tax function reviews.
Requirements
- Recognized accounting or tax qualification.
- 7–12 years of tax advisory and compliance experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in international indirect tax, including return preparation, review, and submission.
- Practical tax advisory, research, contract review, and commercial judgment skills.
- Experience managing tax authority audits, reviews, requests, and correspondence.
- Understanding of VAT/GST, excise, customs, UAE Corporate Tax, and OECD Pillar 2.
Nice to have
- Experience in a multinational company or advisory firm.
- ERP awareness and experience working in an international, cross-functional environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.
