Production Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Chillicothe, Missouri, United States. Night shift: Monday–Wednesday, 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.; Thursday–Friday, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Salary: $21.85 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, with monthly incentive payments after the 90-day probationary period.

What you will do

• Set up and operate wire drawing machines, including installing dies, threading wire, applying lubricant, and adjusting die boxes.
• Inspect wire dimensions, tolerances, shape, resistance, and finished-product quality using micrometers, gauges, and other instruments.
• Perform tensile and torsion tests, prepare samples, and record production and test data.
• Repair wire breaks, replace machine components and worn dies, maintain lubricants and water systems, and perform minor maintenance.
• Handle coils, spools, pallets, and finished materials; operate forklifts safely when required.
• Conduct safety and housekeeping checks and communicate operating information and issues to supervisors and the next shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or demonstrable basic literacy and math proficiency.
• Fluent English, basic computer skills, mathematical ability, and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn to use micrometers, tape measures, feeler gauges, and basic hand tools.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for 10–12-hour shifts and push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 40 to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction; must be at least 18 and able to pass post-offer background, drug, and physical screening when required.

Nice to have

• One to two years of manufacturing experience.
• Eligibility for forklift operator certification.
• Eligibility for certified welder certification.
