What you will do

• Shape key data science areas such as segmentation, recommendation systems, forecasting, and churn prediction.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to analyze product usage and drive data-driven decisions.
• Manage stakeholders by gathering requirements, defining OKRs, and communicating results to non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior data scientists through project planning, technical guidance, and code reviews.
• Build internal self-service data products to simplify data access within the company.
• Represent the data science discipline internally and at external conferences and events.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in San Francisco, California, USA
• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics in high-growth companies.
• Strong coding skills in Scala or Python and familiarity with software engineering best practices.
• Experience with distributed data processing systems like Spark and proficiency in SQL.
• MS or Ph.D. in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
