Diagnostic / European Automotive Technician (European Automotive)

Compensation: USD 40–50 per hour

What you will do

• Use lab scopes, multimeters, and factory or aftermarket scan tools to identify root causes of complex vehicle problems.
• Perform control module reprogramming, software updates, and ADAS calibrations.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections and communicate safety concerns and maintenance needs to service advisors.
• Diagnose and repair domestic and foreign vehicles while meeting hourly goals and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and apprentice technicians.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to resolve guest concerns efficiently and maintain a safe, clean, organized shop.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional automotive technician experience, including at least 2 years specializing in European vehicles at a dealership or independent European shop.
• Proficiency with ODIS, VCDS, or equivalent diagnostic and programming systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models.
• Professional appearance, strong communication, positive attitude, and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to lift or move over 100 pounds occasionally, work under raised vehicles and in tight spaces, stand or walk most of the day, drive manual-transmission vehicles, and use hand tools and computers.
• ASE certification is preferred, or a commitment to obtain it.
