Machine Technician – Test Development Engineering (On site)

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, refurbish, assemble, configure, and deploy manufacturing test equipment and production support hardware.
• Respond to equipment failures, perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs or replacement activities to minimize manufacturing downtime.
• Support calibration programs, maintain equipment records, manage spare parts and consumables, and coordinate procurement with approved suppliers.
• Operate rapid prototyping equipment, including 3D printers, and perform measurements using Keyence Smart Scope and other inspection tools.
• Conduct aging, lifecycle, environmental, and ISTA-3A reliability tests using temperature and humidity chambers, vibration testers, drop testers, and salt spray chambers.
• Document repairs and test results, investigate recurring failures, support root cause analysis, train manufacturing personnel, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting manufacturing equipment, automated equipment, or electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and technical work instructions.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as common measurement and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong organization, documentation, communication, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with calibration systems, measurement equipment, quality inspection tools, or manufacturing quality systems.
• Experience with root cause analysis, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Experience operating or maintaining 3D printing equipment and CAD software.
• Experience managing inventory, spare parts, supplier relationships, automation, sensors, or pneumatic systems.
