2nd Shift - Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Location: Onsite at the plant in Homewood, Illinois, USA

Salary: USD 65,000–80,000 annually

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate employees handling incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related records to set priorities, assignments, and shipping methods.
• Oversee shipment accuracy, completeness, condition, loading operations, freight selection, routing, and legal load limits.
• Direct shipment movement between shipping and receiving platforms, storage areas, and work areas.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance reports, shipping records, weight and freight charges, unfilled-order records, labels, and bills of lading.
• Standardize procedures, issue instructions, prepare reports, maintain workforce harmony, and resolve errors and complaints.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or 2–5 years of applicable experience and/or training.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Forklift license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the required visual and depth-perception standards.
• Post-offer, pre-employment drug screen, physical examination, and background check required.

Nice to have

• SAP experience.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience using lean manufacturing tools.
• Ability to interpret procedures and prepare reports and manuals.
