What you will do

• Maintain, install, and commission engineering components of underground machinery and equipment.
• Attend safety meetings, conduct risk assessments, and comply with environmental requirements.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies and prioritize work according to operational requirements.
• Allocate tasks, provide on-the-job training and coaching, and ensure materials, spares, and equipment are available.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, legal examination results, and accurate descriptions of work and spares used.
• Apply appropriate tools and perform work to required standards and specifications.

Requirements

• Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2.
• Certified competent as a Fitter.
• At least 2 years of experience in an underground fitter role.
• English literacy required: speaking, reading, and writing.
• Familiarity with risk assessment procedures, basic computer skills, and a valid Code 08 driving license.
• Ability to work standby shifts and overtime.
