Electrician SF (Mining)

Location: Amandelbult Concentrator, Thabazimbi, Limpopo, South Africa; onsite

What you will do

• Maintain, install, and commission electrical components of machinery and equipment to agreed standards.
• Plan work execution, identify defects and risks, and determine corrective actions.
• Set tap settings on medium-voltage transformers and mini substations.
• Attend breakdowns and emergencies, stopping operations when conditions are unsafe.
• Conduct safety meetings and participate in risk assessments.
• Allocate tasks and provide on-the-job training and coaching to subordinates.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or Technical Trade Specific N2.
• Electrician Trade Test.
• Familiarity with risk assessment procedures.
• Valid Code 08 driving licence and basic computer skills.
• Availability for standby duties and overtime.
• Experience in a concentrator plant environment is advantageous.
