Warehouse Team Leader (Steel Distribution)

Location: Onsite in Tamworth, NSW, Australia; full-time Monday to Friday across operational hours from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

What you will do

• Lead and supervise warehouse and yard operations, ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate dispatch and scheduling activities to meet customer expectations and delivery commitments.
• Manage stock, assets, operational resources, and day-to-day site performance.
• Build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, customer outcomes, and operational performance while identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support, coach, and develop team members while working with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience leading people in a warehouse, logistics, transport, distribution, or similar operational environment.
• Experience managing a busy operation with competing priorities and time pressures.
• Experience overseeing dispatch, scheduling, stock, assets, and customer commitments.
• Ability to monitor and improve KPIs, productivity, and operational outcomes.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to leading safe work practices and creating a safe workplace.
