Veterinary Technician

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Vet Care clinics in Coral Gables, Boynton Beach, Plantation, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Parrish, Lutz, or Jacksonville, Florida

What you will do

• Provide high-level veterinary technician support and collaborate with veterinarians and clinical team members.
• Perform diagnostics including fecals, cytology, urinalysis, bloodwork, ECGs, and radiographs.
• Lead anesthesia induction, surgical monitoring, operating-room preparation, aseptic supply management, and surgical assistance.
• Provide advanced dentistry, including dental prophylaxis and full-mouth dental radiographs.
• Place IV catheters, administer medications and fluids, provide inpatient and critical care, and assist with resuscitation.
• Lead technician appointments, mentor colleagues, maintain controlled-substance records, support inventory management, and ensure complete SOAP documentation.

Requirements

• Veterinary technician certification or licensure preferred, or eligibility to obtain it.
• At least 7 years of general practice and surgery experience, with 3 or more years of leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of inventory management experience.
• Ability to perform Veterinary Technician I, II, and III skills and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, delegation, teamwork, and veterinary patient-care skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
