Research PM (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; On-site

Base salary: $150,000–$210,000 per year, plus a performance bonus and equity grant.

What you will do

• Co-design model capabilities and define areas for improvement with researchers.
• Conduct literature reviews and analyze headroom using recent academic and industry research.
• Run experiments and benchmarks with internal simulation infrastructure and open-source tooling.
• Engage with individual users and enterprises to identify model and agent shortcomings.
• Translate user insights into evaluations and training data.
• Build internal tooling and data pipelines supporting research operations.

Requirements

• Deep technical understanding of model evaluations, reinforcement learning, LLMs, and agents.
• Ability to read research papers and track state-of-the-art developments.
• High proficiency with coding agents such as Codex or Claude Code.
• Strong agency, resourcefulness, and founder mentality.
• Ability to solve creative problems and design projects from the ground up.
