TL;DR
Contracts Specialist (Nuclear Compliance): Supporting contracts and supply chain management procedures for nuclear site operations with an accent on regulatory compliance, procurement lifecycle management, and procedural transformation. Focus on analyzing FAR and DEAR requirements, developing SOPs and process maps, delivering training, and sustaining audit-ready contracting processes.

Location: Hybrid work on/off client site and virtually in or near Aiken, South Carolina, across the Southeastern United States; possible onsite badging at Building 992-3W, 1148 Aiken, SC 29808. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

  • Prepare and administer contracts, manage vendor interactions, and execute standardized procurement and contracting processes.
  • Analyze contracts, regulations, and prime contract requirements in support of nuclear and environmental management engagements.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, process maps, templates, forms, and acquisition lifecycle documentation.
  • Support training, change management, operational deployment, and workforce enablement for Contracts and Supply Chain Management procedures.
  • Monitor performance, contribute to continuous improvement, and maintain audit-ready compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engagement team members supporting a five-year program for approximately 360 personnel.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5–8 years of contracting experience.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) required; knowledge of DEAR and DOE/NNSA requirements is relevant.
  • Experience in procurement, contract administration, regulatory analysis, technical writing, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and compliance-focused skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the nuclear and environmental management sector.
  • Experience with process engineering, acquisition lifecycle mapping, data analytics tools, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Security clearance, where required for sensitive federal marketplace engagements.
