TL;DR
Technical Writer II (Nuclear Compliance): Developing manuals, standard operating procedures, process maps, templates, and visual documentation for contracts and supply chain management in a regulated nuclear environment with an accent on procurement lifecycle documentation, regulatory compliance, and procedural standardization. Focus on translating FAR, DEAR, DOE, NNSA, and client requirements into audit-ready procedures, supporting training and operational deployment, and sustaining continuous compliance improvements.

Location: Hybrid work on/off client site and virtual in or near Aiken, South Carolina, across the Southeastern United States; onsite badging may be required.

What you will do

  • Develop manuals, guides, standard operating procedures, templates, and publication-ready visual documentation.
  • Translate complex procurement and regulatory requirements into clear, user-ready Contracts and Supply Chain Management documentation.
  • Analyze contracts and regulations and support alignment with FAR, DEAR, DOE directives, NNSA requirements, and client policies.
  • Create acquisition lifecycle flowcharts, process maps, and other documentation visuals.
  • Support training, change management, operational deployment, performance monitoring, and continuous procedural improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, procedure writers, training specialists, contracts specialists, and subject-matter experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of technical writing experience, preferably in regulated environments.
  • Technical writing, editing, visualization, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement lifecycles, regulatory compliance, process documentation, and project management methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • U.S. citizenship is required; visa sponsorship, including H-1B and TN sponsorship, is not available.
